Recycling Used Denim Into New Cotton

Plain and simple, Americans throw away 26 billion pounds of clothing every year. In response to this harsh environmental issue, Artistic Fabric & Garment Industries (AFGI) in Karachi, Pakistan is trying to reduce their impact of the business with by recycling landfill-destined denim into new cotton fabric with their Post Consumer Waste (PCW) machine.


We recently visited the recycling plant to get a better look at the operation and system.
